Rollins will be having an MRI.
Seth Rollins, the World Heavyweight Champion, is being evaluated following an injury he sustained on Raw yesterday.
Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Title against Jinder Mahal during the main event on Monday’s episode. Rollins started favoring his left knee after he hit a Lionsault during the match. On the commentary, it was mentioned that Rollins might have tweaked his knee.
Rollins was scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the problem. The MRI will determine if it’s a minor issue or something more serious.
Bryan Alvarez said, “I heard that [Rollins] walked on the stage backstage.
Meltzer continued, “I know he will get an MRI.” “Then, we’ll know. I was told it could be minor or worse. We won’t find out until the MRI results come back.”
Rollins thanked the audience for coming to Raw and for braving the cold. Rollins was seen limping after his speech.
WrestleMania 40 is expected to feature Rollins vs. CMPunk for the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE has been building that match up since Punk’s return at Survivor Series.
