Cody Rhodes to open WWE Raw in todays Wrestling news
Rhodes is aiming for the Royal Rumble.
Cody Rhodes’ appearance on Monday’s episode has been confirmed.
In a SmackDown commercial, it was revealed that Rhodes would be the Raw opener on Monday night (15 January). After ending his feud against Shinsuke Nagamura, Rhodes is likely to focus on the Royal Rumble.
Raw was headlined by a street fight between Rhodes, Nakamura and their respective thugs on Monday. Rhodes won after Nakamura was sent through a table, and then hit Cross Rhodes.
Rhodes is among the first five wrestlers who have declared for the men’s Royal Rumble in 2024. Nakamura has also been confirmed to be a Rumble entrant, along with CM Punk Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. Rhodes wants to win the Rumble a second time and headline WrestleMania 40.
The Royal Rumble will be held in two weeks. The Royal Rumble will take place on January 27.
