Perry spent five days last month in the hospital with a MRSA infection, which could have been fatal. The infection began after she picked up a small splinter on the backstage of AEW Dynamite. The infection spread to Perry’s arm, and she had to undergo surgery.
Perry revealed Wednesday that she was heading back to the hospital due to complications after her surgery.
Perry wrote, “On my way back to the hospital because complications can happen with healing or infection coming back.” “I will soon find out if I require a second operation.”
Perry returned to AEW programming on December 30, at Worlds End. The pay-per view featured an angle in which Perry betrayed Andrade el Idolo who she had managed. Perry helped her husband Miro beat Andrade.
World’s End was Andrade’s final AEW game before his contract expired. He’s expected back at WWE. Andrade confirmed his AEW exit on January 2. Andrade thanked AEW for the promotion and Tony Khan.
