AEW hires new Chief Operating Officer in todays Wrestling news
Kosha Irby was a WWE employee from 2011 to 2018.
AEW has a newly appointed Chief Operating Officer.
Kosha Irby was hired to fill the position. Irby was Regional Director, Live Events at WWE from 2011-2018. Fightful reported his hiring as COO on Tuesday. Our own Dave Meltzer confirmed his role later.
Irby has been the Chief Marketing Officer of the Clemson Athletic Department since February 2023. From June 2018 to April 2019, he served as President of the Memphis Express AAF Football team. He was also Chief Marketing Officer of Professional Bull Riders LLC between 2019 and 2023.
The new hire comes after AEW recently lost three of its top employees. Rafael Morffi, former vice president and chief marketing officer of AEW, left to take up a senior executive position at the Barclays Center. QT Marshall and Dana Massie, the chief marketing & merchandise officer, left the company at the end 2023.
