Mustafa Ali wrestled in his first match after being released from WWE, on Saturday.
Ali defeated Aigle blanc in the main event at APC’s 20th anniversary show in Nanterre. France. Ali addressed the crowd after the match.
Ali said:
What is the first thought that comes to mind when I think about the past 90+ days? It’s that simple – and I apologize if I cry because I truly believe this – every upper-management person I’ve ever worked for has told me directly to my face, “no one will cheer for someone named Mustafa Ali.” Even better than “f**k them,” is “show them.”
To those watching, I’m currently in a packed house at APC. Every single person in the building is chanting “Mustafa Ali!”
I’m leaving the ring on a positive note. This is what I hope to see in the industry. I want to see change in the industry. I want guys at a certain level of success to reach down and help others.
Let me tell you that the young man (Aigle blanc) with whom I just shared the ring is just as good as those other fighters.
