The last KOPW title game of 2023 will feature Taichi and Kanemaru.

The NJPW has set the stipulation for its final KOPW Championship Match of 2023.

Taichi will defend his KOPW title in a Whiskey bottle ladder match at NJPW Road to Tokyo Dome on Thursday (December 21). The show will be held at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, and will be broadcast live on NJPW World.

Taichi proposed the Whiskey Ladder Match stipulation and won a fan poll over Kanemaru (low blows, removing corner pads and removing the corner pads are legal for Kanemaru only). Taichi’s stipulation was voted 70 percent in favor.

The Whiskey Bottle Ladder Match involves a whiskey bottle suspended from the ceiling. The wrestler who retrieves the bottle can use it as a weapon.

The winner of Taichi Vs. Kanemaru becomes the official KOPW champion for 2023. In the new year, a new provisional champion will be crowned for 2024.

Taichi won the KOPW championship from SHO in October, regaining it after losing it to SHO in September at Destruction in Kobe. Kanemaru betrayed Taichi by leaving Just Five Guys to join House of Torture at Destruction in Kobe.

The Road to Tokyo Dome event on Thursday will also feature a NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team match, with Kazuchika OKada defending the title against Jeff Cobb, Great-O-Khan, & Henare.
