Randy Orton returns to SmackDown, AJ Styles challenges Roman Reigns in todays Wrestling news

On Friday’s SmackDown, multiple new storylines were teased.

On Friday’s WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton challenged Roman Reigns to a match. AJ Styles also made his return.

Reigns made a first WWE appearance on SmackDown since Crown Jewel, crowning Solo Sikoa as the heir of his title of Tribal chief of The Bloodline. Orton interrupted the segment to challenge Reigns for a title match next month at the Royal Rumble, but Reigns refused and set up a match with Orton and Uso as the SmackDown Main Event.

Orton defeated Uso during the main event of the episode thanks to a distraction by LA Knight. This distracted Sikoa from his distraction.

Reigns attacked Knight and The Bloodline won a three-on two fight between Orton & Knight with Reigns, Uso & Sikoa.

Styles returned to WWE programming after a break of nearly three months, reportedly to help Orton & Knight. He hit Reigns, with a Phenomenal forearm.

Styles added a new twist to the evening’s proceedings by laying out Knight with his forearm.

Reigns and Orton have not yet been announced for Royal Rumble. However, Styles vs. Knight and Reigns against Orton appear to be the storylines that will be moving forward after Friday’s SmackDown.
