Omega and Chris Jericho will be competing for the tag title at Worlds End.

The 40-year old posted a picture of himself in bed on social media last Friday. He said he would be on the shelf for an indefinite period of time, but did not specify what injury he had.

Omega wrote:

This is not something I can sugarcoat. I’m out for the foreseeable future. I pushed through the pain as long as I possibly could until it became too painful. Luckily, doctors caught me at the right time. I’ll be back so please enjoy wrestling in the meantime.

The news comes only 15 days before AEW’s Worlds End pay per view on December 30. Omega and Chris Jericho will team up to compete for the AEW Tag Team titles on the show against Rick Starks and Big Bill.

Omega’s final match was a victory over Ethan Page at the AEW Collision taped in Montreal on December 5.
