Seven feels he has found a new home in TNA Wrestling.
Trent Seven, the newest member to the TNA Wrestling roster, was announced over the weekend.
Seven, 42, made his Impact Wrestling debut at Final Resolution 2023. He teamed with “Speedball” Mike Bailey to defeat The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz). Seven was Bailey’s mysterious partner for the match.
Seven signed a TNA deal after the match. Seven explained the deal to Cultaholic in an interview:
We’ve been talking for a couple of weeks. Sort of piecing together things and making sure that everything worked out. In this industry and in the entertainment industry it’s often about saying the correct thing, being at the right place at a right time, doing the proper stuff, and looking the right way. It takes a lot to make this kind of thing happen. It was the right time, place and decision. A million and ten things lit up and evolved on the day. They were constantly evolving. Luckily, we got to share a professional wrestling secret with the fans. I love it when wrestling happens that way.
Seven confirmed that he will still appear in other promotions around world despite signing up with TNA.
Seven wrestled in AEW and ROH before signing with TNA. Seven told Cultaholic his experience with AEW/ROH had been great. Seven was “incredibly close” at one point to signing a contract, but it never happened:
Sometimes things don’t work. Sometimes people do whatever they want backstage. You’re trying plan a show and sell out Wembley. Some names are pushed to the bottom of a list. But it’s okay, man. I don’t think I could be more proud of the last 15 month. The way it worked out, all the ups and downs, the constant tests, the people I’ve met, and the countries I’ve visited. Now I feel like I’ve finally found a place to call home.
Seven was a mainstay on the NXT UK WWE roster. He was released from the company in August of 2022. Seven held the NXT UK Tag Team and NXT Tag Team titles with Tyler Bate during his time at WWE.
The name change from Impact Wrestling to TNA will officially take place on Saturday, January 13 with the Hard to Kill pay per view.
