Drew McIntyre will be defending his World Heavyweight title on January 1.

Drew McIntyre will be facing off again for the World Heavyweight title.

On Monday’s Raw he was seen talking with GM Adam Pearce as CM Punk walked by. McIntyre stated that he didn’t care about Cody or Punk because he would finish his own story. He also got a World Heavyweight Title match on Day 1 of WWE Raw in San Diego, which will take place January 1.

McIntyre had defeated Jey Uso earlier in the evening after raking Uso’s eyes and connecting with claymore. McIntyre never forgave Uso and the Bloodline for what they did to him and his family last year. He attacked Uso when he lost last week to Seth Rollins.

McIntyre’s last World Heavyweight Title match was in November when he lost against Rollins in Saudi Arabia. He admitted to Rollins later that he was responsible for his loss, and that it could have been the best thing to happen to him. He then sided with the Judgment Day team at Survivor Series in their WarGames match, where they lost against Cody Rhodes and his team.
