The lawsuit has been pending since January 2022.
The antitrust lawsuit filed by MLW against WWE seems to have been settled.
According to documents obtained Brandon Thurston, lawyers from MLW and WWE filed a “Notice Of Settlement” with the courts on Monday. The final settlement documents should be filed in the next 30 to 60 days.
According to the Standing Order for Civil Cases, section IV.F.1, Plaintiff MLW Media LLC, and Defendant World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., (together, “the Parties”), submit this Notice of Settlement in order to inform the Court that this action has been settled.
The Parties have completed the final settlement documents, and they expect to file the dismissal papers in the next thirty (30 days).
“The parties are currently completing the documents and expect to complete the settlement in the next 30 day. The MLW attorneys filed the document today. Dave Meltzer, our own Dave Meltzer, posted on X that there had been discussions about a settlement for some time.
“No terms were released, but if they are major like in other settlements TKO will likely announce them within the next few days through an SEC filing.”
WWE will not likely file a SEC filing until after they have settled all other cases, but it is more likely to happen when WWE has settled the other cases. The terms will most likely be sealed, but the basics could be released.”
MLW filed its first antitrust lawsuit against WWE in January 2020. The lawsuit alleged that WWE pressured third parties such as streaming service Tubi TV to end their relationship with MLW. The lawsuit also alleged that WWE pressured Vice TV to stop working together with MLW.
