Jay White and Mark Briscoe continue the Continental Classic tournament on Wednesday’s Winter Is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite.
White is aiming for his third victory of the tournament, and three additional points. Briscoe is aiming for his first tournament win.
White has won over Rush and Jay Lethal, while Briscoe lost to Rush, Swerve Sterickland and Jon Moxley. This is a rematch of last month’s Dynamite, in which White won.
The show will also feature a new match: the former AEW Women’s champion Riho will face perennial challenger Ruby Soho, in their first singles bout since May, when Soho won.
Riho surprised viewers last Wednesday by returning to the show after Toni Storm’s AEW Women title defense against Skye Blue. This will be Riho’s first AEW match since mid-June.
The Golden Jets (Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho), will be sharing their thoughts in a new promo after Omega was jumped on Saturday’s AEW Collision by Big Bill. Bill & Ricky Starks defeated Jericho in Full Gear last month. It’s expected that Starks & Bill defend their titles against the Jets during this month’s Worlds End.
