Both have earned a title shot at NXT’s New Year’s Evil in 2024.
The NXT Iron Survivor Challenge winners for 2023 are Blair Davenport and Trick Williams.
Williams and Davenport won the Iron Survivor Challenge matches at Saturday’s NXT Deadline. Williams and Davenport have earned a shot at the NXT Championship, while Davenport earned a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Both will be playing their title matches on Tuesday, January 2 at NXT New Year’s Evil.
The Iron Survivor Challenge consists of a 25-minute match in which the wrestler with the most falls at the end of the match is declared the winner. The first Iron Survivors were Grayson Waller & Roxanne Perez in 2022.
Williams defeated Bron Breker, Tyler Bate and Josh Briggs in the Iron Survivor Challenge for men. Williams had only one fall in the final minute. He then went on a flurry, pinning Dijak, Bate and Breakker, to win the match with four falls.
Davenport defeated Lash Legend, Tiffany Stratton, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan in the women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. She defeated Lash legend, Tiffany Stratton and Fallon Henley.
Davenport took over the lead after Henley fell late. Davenport ran away from Legend, so Legend had no chance of catching up.
Davenport and Lyra Valkyria had a staredown after the match. Cora Jade made her NXT comeback by ambushing Valkyria, and posing for a picture with the NXT women’s championship belt.
New Year’s Evil is the first NXT episode of 2024. It’s currently set to feature the following title matches:
