Braun Strowman gives an injury update and says he will be returning for Bray Wyatt in todays Wrestling news
Strowman hasn’t wrestled since the month of May.
Braun Strowman wants to continue the legacy of the Wyatt Family when he returns after his injury.
Strowman had level-one fusion on his C4 vertebrae and C5 vertebrae last June. He hasn’t wrestled in May.
Strowman said
I recently had my five month check-up with Dr. Cordoba at the world famous Andrews Medical Centre where WWE blessed me to have my surgery performed by the number one surgeon in world. I had my five-month-check-up, and was cleared medically to begin lifting weights. The bones are fusing well in my neck. I had a cervical fuse on my C4 & C5. They put a metalplate and four screws into my neck. I had a metal plate and four screws put in my neck.
Strowman isn’t sure when he will be returning.
I don’t yet know; if I were to be back in Rumble again, that would be fantastic. But as I said, it’s up to the doctors. I’m listening because this was an injury that I had.
The last time Strowman appeared on WWE programming was in August, during the Bray Wyatt Tribute Show. He appeared with Wyatt Family Member Erik Rowan in a ten bell salute.
Strowman said about Wyatt:
He taught me so much about how to navigate this crazy industry. He taught me how to navigate this crazy industry. He taught me to be a more effective performer in the ring. The most important thing I learned from Bray Wyatt was how to be a more positive person. He is one of the most amazing human beings to have ever walked on this planet.
Now that I am a godfather, I know that this is a big responsibility that I had never imagined and that I hope I will never have to take on. But I am honored that he chose me to be his leader in the event of something happening to him. It’s an honour to know that this weight is on my shoulders and I carry it with pride. I am not only returning to WWE for myself, but I’m also coming back for him.
Strowman commented on the legacy of the Wyatt Family now that both Wyatt Huber and Wyatt are no longer here.
I mean, it was a family affair. Eric Rowan, Luke Harper and Bray were all brothers that taught me how to do business. We captured the incredible thing on film and television. Knowing that two of them will never be able step foot in the ring, I carry that pressure, that weight, knowing that I am continuing the legacy that we started 10 years ago.
Before his injury, Strowman was a teammate of Ricochet with WWE. His last match took place on the May 1, 20,23, edition Raw when they defeated Alpha Academy at Fort Worth, Texas.
