WWE Raw ratings return to normal levels in todays Wrestling news
Raw’s 18-49 rating is tied for the second best this football season.
Raw returned to its normal range following last week’s CMPunk and Randy Orton reunion episode. It averaged 1.53 million viewers and drew a 0.49 rating among 18-49. Raw is still tied for the second best 18-49 rating this football season.
The head-to-head game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars had 16.45 million viewers, with a rating of 3.91 among 18-49. The game had 8.87 million viewers and a 1.48 rating in 18-49 for ABC, 6.61 millions and a 2.01 rating in 18-49 for ESPN, and 964,00 and a 0.32 rating on ESPN2.
Raw also beat two NBA In Season Tournaments on TNT. The Celtics vs. Pacers matchup had 1.02 million viewers, and a rating of 0.36 among 18-49. Pelicans vs Kings hour three received 718,000 viewers and a rating of 0.27 among 18-49.
Raw was the fifth-ranked cable show for the evening, behind four shows from ESPN, while USA was the only other cable network in front of ESPN.
Raw would be down on last week but still ahead of normal. People were likely expecting Orton or Punk to be on the show, even though neither was advertised.
Raw’s audience was down 19% from last week. It was also down 26 % in 18-49 and 20 % in 18-34.
The audience has changed dramatically, with a drop of 3,000 viewers from a year ago but an increase in 18-49 and 18-34. This is a significant change, with fewer viewers over 50, but more younger viewers. If you include the loss of cable homes in your comparison, the real increase in viewers would be five percent, a 31 percent increase in 18-49 and a 71 percent increase in 18-24.
