Bron Breakker, Sheamus and the other WWE Speed number 1 contenders have been eliminated after a time limit draw.
The Breakker vs. Sheamus game that aired today on Speed lasted the entire three minutes before a winner was decided. Breakker tried to spear Sheamus but was stopped by a knee from Sheamus as the clock wound down. Both wrestlers fell to the ground as the last 10 second ticked off. Speed tournament matches have the rule that both wrestlers will be eliminated if there is a draw within the time limit.
In a post-match angle, Breakker and Sheamus traded strikes until officials arrived and broke up their brawl. Corey Graves said in his commentary that Breakker still has unfinished business with Sheamus.
The next challenger to Andrade’s WWE Speed Championship will be determined by the matchup between Dragon Lee and Akira Tozawa next Wednesday (November 13). Andrade has held the WWE Speed Championship since June, with successful defenses of the title against Xavier Woods and Baron Corbin.
Breakker, who currently holds the Intercontinental Title, had the opportunity to become a two-time champion if he won this tournament and went on to defeat Andrade.
