Ospreay is on his way to achieving his goal of entering a TNA ring.

Will Ospreay’s goal is to step into a TNA Wrestling ring before he starts with AEW.

Today, it was announced that Ospreay would compete at TNA’s TV taping in Las Vegas Sunday, January 14. The taping is called Snake Eyes. The taping will take place at the Palms Casino Resort, one day after TNA’s Hard to Kill pay per view.

Hard to Kill marks the official start of Impact Wrestling’s renaming back to TNA Wrestling.

Ospreay wrestled in three matches for Impact Wrestling in October, returning to this promotion for the first since 2016. He defeated “Speedball Mike Bailey”, Josh Alexander, and Eddie Edwards.

Ospreay addressed the crowd after his match with Alexander and said that he needed to step foot in a TNA arena. Ospreay stated that the first match he saw was Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles in TNA. This is what inspired him to become a professional wrestler.

Ospreay, AEW’s new blockbuster signing, was announced at the Full Gear PPV last month. Ospreay reportedly turned down a “seven figure level” contract from TNA before signing with AEW.

Ospreay remains under NJPW’s contract until February 2024.
