TKO has acquired several new properties within the Endeavor group.
The parent company of WWE, UFC, and On Location is acquiring Professional Bull Riders, On Location, and IMG in a $3.25 billion all-stock transaction.
Ari Emanuel, CEO of TKO and Endeavor, is also the CEO of TKO. The transaction was prompted by Endeavor’s desire to go private through a proposed transaction between Silver Lake and private equity firm. They are therefore looking to sell some of their assets before that happens.
PBR does not have a logical connection with WWE or UFC. However, On Location and IMG both do.
The former is a premium company that offers VIP experiences at more than 1200 sporting occasions, including the Super Bowl and NCAA Final Four. Mark Shapiro, TKO’s executive director, has publicly stated in the past that he wants to increase these opportunities for WWE and UFC which both use On Location.
IMG is a multi-faceted company that offers a variety of services, including digital services, event management, and media rights. NFL and NHL are among their clients. WWE and UFC both appear on their list of current clients.
