WWE will bring SummerSlam back to the New York/New Jersey region next year.
SummerSlam will be held at the MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford in New Jersey, on Saturday, 2nd and Sunday, 3rd August 2025. SummerSlam is the first event to be held over two nights. However, WWE has already announced SummerSlam 2020 from Minneapolis.
MetLife Stadium is home to the New York Jets and the New York Giants. It hosted WrestleMania 29, in 2013, and WrestleMania35, in 2019.
WWE has partnered up with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority to bring SummerSlam to MetLife Stadium in 2025.
Peter Dropick, TKO’s Executive Vice President for Event Development and Operations, said in a release that “New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has been a fantastic partner and they have hosted several major UFC Events in recent years. This includes the record-breaking UFC 302 held in June.” “We are excited to bring WWE to New Jersey with the first ever two-night SummerSlam event at MetLife Stadium.”
SummerSlam returns to the New York/New Jersey region for the first since the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, hosted the event between 2015-2018.
