Ric Flair announced Wendy Barlow and he have decided to separate.
The pair met while working in WCW in 1993. Barlow played the role of a French maid, Fifi, in the “Flair for the Gold,” segments the company produced at the time. They announced their engagement back in 2016 and had a wedding in 2018.
Flair announced on Monday that they had decided to “part respectfully” after 13 years.
“Wendy and I had 13 great years. We have experienced our ups and downs, just like every couple. I think it’s important for everyone to know right now that we have decided to part ways respectfully. I’ll never be able to thank her enough for standing by my side during my terrible health crisis in 2017. She never left my side! And for That I Will Be Grateful Forever! We both have different projects at the moment & it is difficult to make this work with my schedule & hers. I wish her the best of luck with her projects, and I know that she supports mine!”
Flair has announced his separation from Barlow for the second time within the last few years. Flair did the same thing in January 2022.
“After some time apart, Wendy and I have decided to go our separate ways. Please respect our privacy and that of our families during this time! I will cherish and love all of our memories together forever, and I will always be grateful for everything she has done to make my life better.”
The Wooooo! The Energy AEW sponsoring appeared to have ended earlier this summer. He appeared in AEW for the first time in October 2023. The company released a press statement stating that he signed a multi-year contract with the company.
