Kurt Angle believes Roman Reigns earned “every single bit” of his WWE success.
Angle said that he would have loved to wrestle Reigns during his in-ring days. Angle believes Reigns’ WWE career started “a little early,” but that he has overcome this and is now one of the world’s best wrestlers.
Angle said that Reigns had been “on fire”. “I’ll say this: He earned every penny that he has gotten. I believe that the company pushed his career a little bit too soon and the fans refused to accept it, but he has followed through. He’s proved that he is among the best in the World right now.”
Reigns, who was beaten by The Bloodline back in August, returned to WWE programming last Friday on SmackDown. He will team up with Cody Rhodes to face Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu on Saturday, October 5, at Bad Blood.
Reigns held the WWE title for 1,316 days, before losing it to Rhodes at WrestleMania.
Angle and Reigns have never met while Angle was a competitor. The 55-year old WWE Hall of Famer said at K&S WrestleFest he would be open to becoming a manager for WWE if they offered him enough money. Angle could be physically involved as a manager but he will never wrestle again.
