A new CMLL women’s champion has been crowned.
Zeuxis won the title for the very first time after defeating Willow Nightingale. Zeuxis won the match by pinning Nightingale with an avalanche-powerbomb.
Nightingale lost the title after 61 consecutive days. She defeated Viva Van in a three way match and Lluvia to become the new champ at CMLL x NJPW Fantasticamania, in San Jose, on July 13. Stephanie Vaquer, who had left the promotion for WWE just days earlier, was stripped of both the CMLL Women’s and CMLL Women’s Tag Team titles. Zeuxis and Vaquer were CMLL Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Nightingale lost to Kris Statlander on AEW TV in what was originally a CMLL Women’s Championship Title eliminator match. The two had been scheduled to fight in a street brawl for a title match at All Out earlier this week. CMLL announced shortly before the event that the title match would not be sanctioned. Statlander won a street fight that was not a title match.
