Raw will return to a 2-hour format next month.
Joe Tessitore, during Monday’s Raw, announced that Raw will start at 8 pm ET and end at 10pm ET starting on Sunday, October 7. This change will last until Raw’s finale on December 30, which will air on the USA Network. Raw will officially move from USA to Netflix on January 6, following the USA finale.
WWE signed a contract with USA Network in May to remain on their station until the end of the current year. The original contract was set to expire at the end of October. Raw has been running as a three-hour show since 2012, when the show’s 1000th episode aired. It was a two-hour show since 1997.
WWE’s other programs will be moved as soon as their new TV deals begin. SmackDown is moving to the USA Network this Friday. NXT will move from USA to CW on October 1.
