All Elite Wrestling wants to trademark a name that is interesting.
The company filed a trademark application for “AEW: Shockwave”, Friday, September 6, 2024 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The filing lists a number of purposes for which the company intends on using the name.
“Entertainment services in the form of live professional wrestler performances; Entertainment Services in the form of production of professional wrestler programs and events; and Entertainment Services, namely production and distribution of television programs in professional wrestling.”
On Thursday, September 5, AEW filed trademark applications for “The Clone” in English and the same name “El Clon” in Spanish.
The company trademarked “Grand Slam Australia” for AEW debut in Australia, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Suncorp Stadium. In recent months, the company has also trademarked All In Texas and AEW: All In Texas. AEW trademarked “Hologram” late last year. This became the new gimmick of Aramis. He debuted his new character in July.
