Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will feature AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita against TNA Wrestling “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will debut on Saturday, October 19, and Sunday, Oct. 20, with two Forged in Excellence events at St. Clair College, Windsor, Ontario. Takeshita and Bailey will be on the first night’s card, according to the promotion. The two have wrestled against each other previously in matches for DDT PWG and West Coast Pro Wrestling.
Triller TV will broadcast both nights of Forged in Excellence live as pay-per views. Night two will feature Takeshita and Josh Alexander.
Forged in Excellence also features El Phantasmo (Jinder Mahal), Raj Dhesi, Gisele Shaw KUSHIDA Alex Zayne Kevin Knight Jake Something Kylie Rae ROH Women’s World Champion Athena Trevor Lee QT Marshall and Miyu Yamshita.
Mauro Ranallo will be the commentating team for the events. Scott D’Amore is working on a new promotion after being fired from TNA Wrestling in February. The Maple Leaf Wrestling brand, which existed between the 1930s and 1980s, is being revived.
