Netflix has released an official trailer for “Mr. McMahon” docuseries.
The trailer includes interviews with Vince McMahon, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin. Also included are interviews with Bruce Prichard, Eric Bischoff Jimmy Hart, Bret Hart Paul “Triple H Levesque” and David Shoemaker from The Ringer.
“People have asked me who I am. McMahon begins the trailer by saying, “You know, the portrayal is that I’m a bad person, but no one knows me.”
Topics covered include the rise of WWE, the 1994 Steroid Trial, Chris Benoit’s double murder-suicide and Janel Grant’s sexual abuse accusations against McMahon. Grant was not interviewed by the producers for the series. However, they did reach out to Grant.
Produced by Bill Simmons, sports media personality and executive producer of “Tiger King”, Chris Smith. The series will debut on September 25, and it will feature six one-hour episodes.
Netflix has been working on this docuseries, which is a documentary about McMahon’s life, since 2020. The project has evolved as a result of the allegations against McMahon. He resigned in January this year after Grant’s suit was filed. The interviews with McMahon took place before his resignation.
The documentary premieres just a few weeks before WWE Raw moves from cable to Netflix in January 2025. WWE does not hold a production credit for “Mr. McMahon” series.
