Rich Swann pleads guilty to disorderly public intoxication and is found guilty in todays Wrestling news

Rich Swann, a Florida man arrested in June for disorderly public drinking and causing a disturbance, was found guilty on Wednesday by a Florida court.

Swann has to pay nearly $500 in legal fees and fines, and is on probation for six months. The case will be closed once the fines and probationary period are completed.

Swann, the former TNA World Champion who is currently suspended by the company, had pleaded nolo contendre before the ruling was handed down. This is a plea where the defendant does not admit guilt but accepts a verdict as if a guilty plea was entered.

Swann was arrested in Altamonte Springs on June 8, after he tried to enter a nearby apartment that he mistakenly thought belonged to him. He left when the resident revealed he had a firearm and then showed it Swann. A woman called police after Swann allegedly approached her, followed her to the front door and said he wanted to talk to her.

Swann, who had planned to enter substance abuse rehab voluntarily following his arrest, showed off his 60-day coin of sobriety recently on social media.

TNA Wrestling first learned of the arrest mid-August, more than two months later. During this time, he wrestled for TNA as well as for several independent promotions.
