Adam Copeland:

Adam Copeland has not set a date for his return to the ring following a broken leg he suffered in a match back in May.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Copeland revealed that he has just passed the three-month mark since undergoing surgery for a broken tibia he sustained when he jumped from the top of the steel cage during a barbed-wire steel cage match in May against Malakai black at AEW:

“It feels great. I had the surgery. I think it was June 1 when I finally had the surgery. So, I’d say yesterday was three months. I’ve never had a broken leg before so I didn’t really know what it entailed. It was a long process with my Achilles. This is not good because I was working on the Achilles eight hours a night. It became my full-time job, and I was back in six months. But it was a lot more grinding of teeth. This isn’t more than anything.”

Copeland has a metal plate in his leg.

It’s about regaining the flexibility and power from bringing your toes up to your knee. It’s the last part that isn’t ready to be removed yet, because the plate extends down to the ankle due to the lower fracture. It was a lower fracture of the tibia, so the plate is pressed against that ankle bone. I think I’ll have to go through that to regain all that power. I don’t have a timeline. I don’t even know what a timeframe is. I can now walk, get into the ring and move around, but I still feel a deficiency. So, I still have work to do in order to get back to where I should be.”
