Kairi Sane required several stitches after being ripped open during a rough landing in WWE Raw last evening.
Sane & IYO SKY were defeated by Alba Fyre & Isla dawn in a Women’s Tag Team title number 1 contender’s match last night. Sane attempted to throw a flying elbow at the outside near the end of last night’s show. Dawn moved Bianca Belair out of the way, but Sane fell face-first on the announce table.
Jade Cargill gave Sane a forearm punch as she continued to perform her planned spot. Sane & SKY fought in the ring after the match with champions Belair & Cargill.
Sane posted a picture on social media of her bloody eye with a thumbs-up emoji to show that she was fine. She joked about needing an eye patch and received stitches for her cut. SKY praised Sane’s toughness and said that Damage CTRL would soon become Women’s Tag Team Champions despite their loss last night.
Belair & Cargill won the Women’s Tag Team title at Bash in Berlin over the weekend. Fyre & Dawn will be rematching on Raw next week.
