Danielson confirmed he is a member of AEW’s disciplinary Committee.

Bryan Danielson is ‘grateful for CM Punk’s time at AEW.

Danielson confirmed on the Maggie and Perloff Show that he was a member of AEW’s disciplinary panel but could not elaborate on details about CM Punk’s firing from AEW after an altercation at All In with Jack Perry.

“Yeah. I’m a member of the disciplinary panel and it’s clear what happened,” he said. “I am someone who…I liked CM Punk. I thought he added a lot to AEW. There’s not much I can or want to say, but I am part of it.

Danielson denied that he was the chairman of the committee and said that the majority of people involved in the decision that Punk be fired were lawyers.

“I mean, more than three people were involved in this decision.” “But most of them were lawyers,” he said. “To say that i was the head…I do not even have a degree from college.”

Danielson replied that it was difficult to fire Punk.

“Absolutely,” he replied. “I have a great deal of empathy…and he did a fantastic job for us. So yeah, I wish him all the best and I hope he does well.”

CM Punk returned to WWE at the WWE Survivor Series. It was his first WWE appearance in almost ten years.
