Ethan Page is preparing for his next title defence.
During Sunday’s NXT No Mercy live premium event, Ava, the general manager announced that whoever won the main event between Ethan Page vs. Joe Hendry would defend the NXT Championship when NXT premieres October 1 on the CW Network.
Page retained the title by hitting Hendry on the NXT Title with a DDT and an Ego’s Edge. Guest referee Trick Williams counted to three.
Pete Dunne, who was at the ringside, dragged Williams from the ring after the match and gave him the bitter ending on the floor. Dunne stared down Page in the final moments of No Mercy as he continued to celebrate his victory.
WWE has three major moves planned in the coming months. SmackDown will be the last episode on Fox this Friday. It will move to USA Network on September 13th. Raw will be the first cable network to drop Raw at the end the year. Raw will move to Netflix on January 6th.
