CM Punk won his first WWE victory on televised television in over a decade at Bash in Berlin.
The heated rivalry between Punk, Drew McIntyre and the other wrestlers continued at Saturday’s event. Punk won, giving him a 1-1 record with McIntyre during their storyline. McIntyre beat Punk in a SummerSlam match with Seth Rollins as the special guest referee.
Punk won the Bash in Berlin match. Punk gave McIntyre four Go to Sleeps on his way to touching the four corners. He also returned the bracelet McIntyre stole from him. The bracelet is engraved with the names of Punk, his wife AJ, and their dog Larry.
It remains to be determined when/if Punk and McIntyre play a third match to settle their rivalry.
Punk had never won a WWE televised match since he left the company in 2014. He defeated Billy Gunn in an episode of Raw that January. Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series in November last year but suffered a torn triceps during the Royal Rumble.
Punk defeated Dominik Mysterio at two house show bouts in December.
