WWE Raw will be getting a new commentary crew starting this Monday.
Joe Tessitore, an ESPN/ABC broadcaster, will make his WWE Play-by-Play debut on Raw’s Monday, September 2, episode. Sports Business Journal confirmed that Wade Barrett would be Tessitore’s broadcast partner. Barrett previously called SmackDown With Corey Graves.
Michael Cole and Graves are the SmackDown announcers when the show returns to USA Network on Friday, September 13th. WWE will shuffle announce teams again in January 2025 when Raw moves to Netflix. Cole and Pat McAfee are returning as the Raw commentary team for Netflix.
McAfee has taken a break from WWE to focus on his role as an ESPN College GameDay host. He will return to WWE after the college football season is over.
In July, it was announced that Tessitore, a pro-wrestling fan, had been hired as a WWE commentator. He will continue to call college football and boxing for ESPN and ABC. Tessitore previously worked as an announcer on Monday Night Football.
Monday’s Raw will be broadcast from Ball Arena Denver, and will feature the aftermath of Bash in Berlin.
