WWE NXT will feature a singles match between an ex-NXT Champion and a former NXT UK Champion on next week’s show.
As announced in Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT, former NXT UK champion Pete Dunne will face former NXT UK champion Trick Williams on Tuesday, September 3.
Williams attacked Dunne during a triple-threat number one contenders match last week on WWE NXT. This cost him the chance to challenge Ethan Page for his NXT title this Sunday at No Mercy. Dunne will be looking to exact revenge in the next week’s match.
Williams will also serve Sunday as a special guest referee in the NXT title fight between Page and Joe Hendry, which takes place at No Mercy.
Dunne concluded Tuesday’s WWE NXT show by announcing that Williams would not make it to the match on next week.
